"A Woman’s World is inspired by the era of Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol and James Brown. I thought a lot about Muses and what it means to me. I thought about women in history and women who changed the world. Andy Warhol was an artist who changed the art world despite endless backlash and critique. It reminds me of this new era of Art and NFTs. I wanted to use a pop Art approach using my love for geometrical patterns. The reference to James Browns Song ‘the world would be nothing without a woman or a girl’ stemmed from the Woman’s movement in NFTs and the Art Community. Women are pushing the boundaries in NFTs but are still a minority in a very masculine dominated community. The song reference was to point out the importance that women play in our society."

A reaction to the culture of online hyper-masculinity, a reaction to the fear of being redundant as an artist. And lastly, a reaction to where I fit into this digital space, especially as woman. Anatomy of a Muse: Leda and the Swan is an exploration of what makes a muse, why is she adored and why we are consumed with her demise? The goal was catharsis but in the end we're just left with confronting the trauma. Oh, you want your muse? Here she is!"

Working in primarily a blue palette exclusively for Bluethumb's Genesis NFT drop, this collection explores the beauty of paint and paint substances in their kineses or movements. My work uses analogue techniques of filming paints, inks, pigments and solvents to create moving paintings that only exist in the digital realm. These images are in real-time and unfiltered. My work strives to create digital art that is of mediative and healing qualities.

A staple in almost every household in the country, this savoury treat made an appearance in every sandwich of every high school student at one point in time. I never understood it, honestly, its ACTUALLY horrendous. I cant figure the thought process behind layering this black tar-like spread between two slices of white bread and calling it a meal. The Great Piece of Australia IV' [2022] is an animated still life by Luke Conroy. It is a study of a seemingly unordered arrangement of Australiana that combines ‘real’ images alongside images created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.  The title of this series of work references Albrecht Durer's 'The Great Piece of Turf / Das große Rasenstück' (1503), a meticulous observation of nature in almost scientific detail. Completed over five centuries later, ‘The Great Piece of Australia’ series is a distinctly 21st century vision of nature. In this piece, human observation is combined with artificial intelligence and the lines between fact and fiction are blurred.  Artificial intelligence was utilised in the work through using a ‘text-to-image’ process whereby a computer was instructed to generate a variety of surreal images based on a set of text prompts by the artist. These text prompts were around the theme of ‘Australiana’, for example listing various names of native flora, fauna, or iconic locations. The resulting surreal images can be thought of as what the computer “imagined” upon reading each text prompt.  In the final work the artist incorporated this combination of real and ‘computer imagined’ imagery. The result is a work that can be seen as a collaboration between artist and computer. It is a vision which mixes reality and imagination, creating a ‘piece of Australia’ that is strangely familiar and other-worldly all at once.  Video details: 1080wx1920h pixels, 25fps, 15 second loop, no sound.

To create a still life with a person in it as a photograph is quite challenging and I found inspiration to snap this shot on the street one day after spending several hours over a few weeks looking at and reading about Edward Hopper and his art work. This image represents the modern day urban landscape and behaviours.

Mark Bo Chu's Destiny animations bring concept portraiture into the digital sphere, transforming a child's scribbles into a portrait of their future selves. The very same marks are used to produce both naive and representational images, highlighting that the future always contains the past. Made on digital recreations of lined paper, the still frames contrast raw childhood expressivity with the formality of adult life. Animation then binds the disparate moments in time, through subject and medium, bridging works on paper to the digital realm.

Despite being a Chocolate man, I'm not really a chocolate flavour man. If I had to choose I'd probably go with Strawberry or Banana or maybe the Zooper Dooper flavours? I dunno, I honestly can't understand why anyone would want to drink so much milk.
